This is an exceedingly rare photo inside a presidential limousine. It is of then President-elect Ronald Reagan and President Carter on the way to the U.S. Capitol for RWR's inauguration, January 20, 1981. Although this joint trip by incoming and outgoing presidents is traditional, they are rarely warm when the two are political rivals, as the body language in this photo shows. Thank God Ronald Reagan was elected to replace that [blank] Carter.
