OH BTW High Tea
is really a poor man's dinner. Tea is the proper term and I have been to Tea many times in England, Scotland and South Africa. Done correctly it is a very nice affair, though one is required to be civil.

I've only been to Tea here in the States and it's only been a bit of play-acting. Someday, I'll go to England and visit my friend Eleanor and experience the real thing.

I must admit being English I never use the term High Tea unless I am talking to people from other countries.
If tea is what people know at High tea I use the term afternoon tea, tea to me is actually what Americans mean by dinner. Dinner is lunch - there I have confused everyone LOL
