Congress critter Jarrold Wadler is a fat slug.

The Dems are not just weak on defense, they are outright working overtime to achieve enemy goals.

[The only problem is pigs will fly and hell will freeze before the Dimwits will every regain power.]

I consistently map out ways on FR in which the Republicans can be brought down by jujitsu (their own power). I am agreed that the liberals are too stupid these days to figure out how to bring the Republicans down via their own words and actions. Here are some ways the Republican Party can self destruct:

1) Success in the WOT...Churchill was dumped after he won WW2. The Republicans could be dumped after an Iranian Revolution brings lots of peace.

2) Candidates assume that "conservatism" means being against the dominant forms of modern heterosexual behavior. Specific scenario: Giuliani loses to a "Christian" in the primaries after a vicious condemnation of Giuliani's sex life. South Park Conservatives never forgive the nominee.

3) The Supreme Court establishes a defacto 90 day term limit on all abortions...but otherwise upholds Roe vs Wade. Republican nominee/politicians vocally condemn SCOTUS, including Alito and Roberts, and vow to make the court even tougher. This loses too many women voters in the center, who had previously voted Republican because they condemned the extremism of the left on the issue...and House and Senate seats fall.

4) A Republican comes out openly against anti-smoking legislation in his or her home state. Only 25% of Americans smoke and not all are Republcans. The candidate secures a 15% base and, therefore, loses in a landslide because the majority of non-smokers feel very strongly about the issue on a local level...including Republican business owners who want to pay lower employee health insurance premiums.

It wasn't the Vietnam War and foreign policy that lost Congress to the liberals 30+ years ago. The public was fine with Nixon's foreign policy. But the Republicans were on the wrong side of the sex, cigarettes and the environment issues which played huge roles outside of the vote for Nixon in 1972, which was based on national security. DDT and asbestos and televised cigarette commercials were banned only after Dems took power. Republicans may have held on to office if they had seen the handwriting on the wall regarding these issues.

Maybe the Dems should review all those FISA requests Bubba placed before they shoot their mouths off. Especially the ones from 1995 on. They should also find out if Aldrich Ames was the only American who had his property searched without a warrant.

Well, I guess the Dems just rewrote the Constitution again to give Democratic members of Congres law enforcement authority.

Reason #5 for how Republicans can lose the midterms: We can avoid any more terror attacks by being too nice to the enemy.

We are at war. War assumes attacks and counterattacks. If the President is too good at stopping or avoiding counterattacks against us...too many citizens will forget we are in a war. Meanwhile the Iranians will get nukes.

-if the political climate changes they could face criminal prosecution-

How much more clear can they make it?? It's only "illegal" if the rats are in a position to abuse more power!

So basically you think Republicans and Conservatives will lose power if they don't become brain dead liberals?

Hillary's Attorney General will be told to press charges. Of course, Clinton did the same thing and they don't consider it a crime when a 'Rat does it...and anyway the statute of limitations has run out for the Clinton administration.

I agree.

I hope I made it plain in my last post that we need to save all the Democrat's remarks, remarks that are encouraging the terrorists, and throw them back at them as soon as the terrorists hit us again.

[So basically you think Republicans and Conservatives will lose power if they don't become brain dead liberals?]

Of the 5 ways to lose seats that I mentioned, avoiding that fate would require:

1) Go ahead and liberate Iran and bring about peace sooner than otherwise...while not worrying so much about stopping another terror attack in the USA. It is the absence of terror attacks that strengthen the Democrats...just as liberals in England took power because the Nazis had already been defanged and not a threat to England for the last 4 years of the 5 year war.

2) Keep pounding on the homosexual agenda while doing what the President now does regarding heterosexuals: he keeps his mouth shut on that.

3) This was entirely hypothetical (the idea that SCOTUS would institute a defacto compromise on the abortion issue). Republican politicians should know by now that the independents in the middle are women who favor choice but with term limits. It doesn't matter what you or I think. It is what the independents in the middle think.

4) Smoking: Liberals in Germany think of smokers as a persecuted minority to be protect via "tolerance" like the gays and Muslims. In the USA, some people (a very small minority) think it is a conservative issue (property rights of bar owners is sometimes mentioned). In reality, this is an issue not between ideologies, but between people who smoke and people who want don't smoke and want fresh air. Big business owners, who are Republican, are coming down hard now on employees who smoke even in their homes. It is a lost cause issue. No politician dares talk about it for that reason.

Not to Communist and Jihadi sympathizers in Congress and elsewhere: you are not the only ones with long memories. Don't start a fight you don't want and can't win. To this point we have put up with a lot of cr*p from you traitors, but our patience is not infinite.
