I had thought so. He was then saved by the guy who had earned one purple heart for getting rice pelted in his hind quarters.

Karl Rove knew, Nov. 7, 2004 , that hanoi kerry would try to run in '08
and knew Swift Boat Vet's would be called upon,
again, to serve our country.

"Yes sir my name is Mark Seavey and I just want to thank you for coming up here. Until about a month ago I was Sergeant Mark Seavey infantry squad leader, I returned from Afghanistan. My question to you, (applause)
"Like yourself I dropped out of college two years ago to volunteer to go to Afghanistan, and I went and I came back. If I didn't have a herniated disk now I would volunteer to go to Iraq in a second with my troops, three of which have already volunteered to go to Iraq. I keep hearing you say how you talk to the troops and the troops are demoralized, and I really resent that characterization. (applause) The morale of the troops that I talk to is phenomenal, which is why my troops are volunteering to go back, despite the hardships they had to endure in Afghanistan."

The media is trying its level best to turn the name "Swiftboat Veterans" into the word "McCarthyism".
Won't work, unless we let it happen.

I do knock his stupidity in thinking we can leave Iraq tomorrow.<<< He has claimed he doesn't want us to leave Iraq...just pull back into Saudi and Kuwait, and see if the Iraqi's can't handle the insurgency themselves. He want us to stay "close by" so we can go back in if there is trouble.
Now, if that isn't a cockimamie strategery, I don't know what one is.

...."and the true meaning of patriotism are under assault".... As I was reading the article I was waiting for the "true patriotism" card to be played. The last redoubt of a liar. And it didn't disappoint.

The term SwiftBoat Vet rings with honor when I hear it.
I traveled a hundred miles to buy their book on what Kerry really did in his 3 months of combat duty in Vietnam. Of greater importance, on how he betrayed his country after his tour of duty!
He brought this upon himself by passing himself off a a War Hero and so is Mr. Murtha.
All Kerry had to do "to sink the SwiftBoat initiative" was to sign his Form 180 and release all his military records. Why is this still not done? A man like him, living in the public eye (at every chance that he can create for himself may I say) cannot afford to leave the slightest doubt in the publics' mind. Neither can Mr. Murtha!

The easy way to stop this is to open up their records to an experienced neutral investigator and make them public. If their is nothing to hide they should not worry but because some Democrats like Kerry,Murtha and Max Cleland have used their records to advance their ideas they most assuredly should open them up for scrutiny. The way these people have handled the situation has put everyone with a Purple Heart under a dark cloud. Open up the records and let the world see how you attained your crown!

So much for Rassman's supposed non-partisanship.
To: LZ_Bayonet
"Partisan operatives, baloney! The leadership was Vietnam Vets and a lot of funding came from small donations from Vietnam Vets like me, and others who trusted the judgement of the vast majority of vets on this issue."
I missed Vietnam but I also sent $50. I saw the effort as doing more good for the country than my contributions to the party.
