You don't understand, there are a LOT of trees down. The environazi's don't have a snowball's chance in this. This is a forest industry area.
So is Washington State, Mt. St. Helens. It's my understanding that none of those tens of millions of trees were allowed to be harvested.
Same is true for the Hayman Fire area in Colorado. That's where a Forest Service worker got mad and started a fire. The Forest Service refused to allow local fire departments to fire the blaze. 120,000 acres of woods burnt. No logging as far as I know. It burned within 20 miles of me.
The only good news out of all that was the group of 10 or so homeowners who banded together, and with shotguns and rifles held off governement authorities orders to evacuate. They held off authorities and at the same time other homeowners fought the fire. By local accounts it was a tense standoff. The authorites did nothing to help. The homeowners won on both counts! There oughta be a movie.
