The media in Israel has been buzzing with reports about Sharon's current condition and medical treatment. It appears that doctors are questioning prescription of blood thinners.
(Read More Reports Here) Sadly, Ariel Sharon is still in a deep coma and fighting for his life. Recent brain scans have revealed minimal brain activity in both hemispheres. His son visits often reading to him and playing recordings of his favorite symphonies.

I would not be shocked at all to find out Bush was behind this, somehow.

Instead of going out with a "bang," at the helm of his government and with a big funeral, he'll linger for months on support half-forgotten.
Doubt he would have wanted the latter.

Sharon's condition was kept under wraps for good reason. No doubt the IDF needed to get its ducks in a row given Israel's continually precarious security situation.

My son's neurologist is from Israel and has some connections to his counterparts there. He told me that there is lots of blame to go around, especially with the doctors that treated him for the first stroke. Evidently, the doctors gave him too much blood thinner without adequate monitoring and then failed to get him to the nearest hospital when he had the hemorrhage. They opted to send him straight to Hadassah Hospital, which is on par with Johns Hopkins, rather than try to stabilize him at a local facility first.
