After apologizing for her shaky driving record, defending her opposition to mandatory criminal sentences and vowing to assail government corruption, Zulima Farber moved closer yesterday to becoming the state's next attorney general, a position considered vital to Gov. Jon Corzine's ethics reform plans.
(snip)
Yesterday's step came after a four-hour hearing during which Farber told senators she would "probably require psychoanalysis" to detail how, since 1974, she received 12 speeding tickets, three driver's license suspensions and a bench warrant for failing to appear in court and pay a fine.
"I'm not perfect, none of us are, and I know very well that I have had some difficulty with driving," Farber said. "I apologize to this committee and the people of New Jersey."

unreal - a total kook.
but this is what we need Corzine to do actually - select kooks like this, pass a gasoline tax - all in his first year, as it will help get Kean Jr a better shot at ousting Menendez.

Corzine appears to be writing his own political obituary with this slick move.

What are you talking about? This Cuban-American attorney is one of the brightest in the state, and she lives a couple of houses down from me. Trust me she is an iron lady.
To: Mo1
This state is a hellhole of corruption and cronyism.
Too bad some of us are held hostage by these b@stards.

"She will bring unique talent and dedication to the office," Pollack said. That's fer sure.

Do you have any idea how easy it is to get a bench warrant in NJ? They are computer generated, and the state is not exactly known to give adequate notice of court dates.
To: Mo1
Ooooooooooooh yes, I know, I know, Corzine and all Jersey politicos are just sooooooooo ethical and pure and, and, *chocking on these words*
To: The Cuban
Ummm .. she also had 12 speeding tickets and three driver's license suspensions
Would you like to make another excuse for this pick?

Someone who repeatly breaks the law should not be the States top Law Enforcement Officer. Corruption should be the state slogan of NJ. Louisiana is 2nd in that ranking. And I could care less what ethic group she falls in----------means nothing.

Okay...too easy...
What if President Bush applied for this job???
Do you think HE would get this far??? Heck no!!
In fact, I heard Randi Rhodes on AirAmerika the other night...commenting on that goofy question about whether Laura Bush would run for office..
She said she better not...because the dems have NOT forgotten about how she killed her ex-boyfriend in a traffic accident...??? sigh
