Worked at the energy center for a few months as a consultant in mid-late 90s. It was kind of depressing place.. they were still designing nuclear reactors but hadn't sold one in something like a decade or more... 1/2 the building was completely empty. In fact I worked there when the big W was removed from the NYSE because they were sold.
Will definately be a boon if they get busy again.
I worked there for 22 months (moved in October) and the EC is filling up. They kicked Alleghany Power out of the west wing and are remodeling like crazy for the expansion, not only new employees, but also for a horde of Chinese that will be there for the design process for the 2 AP-1000's they expect to sell them. Since last January, Westinghouse has hired several hundred new college grads and old greybeards like me.
