At least 7 dead in Union County school bus crash

A semi and a school bus in Union County crashed shortly after 3 p.m. Wednesday with the Florida Highway Patrol saying there are reports of at least seven fatalities, including at least five children.
The crash occurred on State Road 121, about three miles south of Lake Butler, near County Road 239A, according to troopers and the Union County Sheriff's Office.
Officers from around the area including Bradford County have been called to the scene of the crash.
Helicopters also have been contacted to carry patients to hospitals in Jacksonville and Gainesville, according to officials.
Roads in the area are blocked, according to troopers.
