LAGUNA BEACH The founder of the Minuteman Project says organizers of the annual Patriots Day Parade are discriminating against his group by not allowing it to join the March event.
"This is a darn insult," said Jim Gilchrist, founder of the group most known for organizing civilian border patrols. "The Minuteman Project is being deliberately demonized by the parade commission."

Ya gotta have a float...
I could understand the organizers not wanting to the politicize the march, and so reject a political group. I could even understand a lefty-leaning "peace group" slipping in as an expression of the general human desire for peace, with their leftist tilt being "forgiven." But what is peaceful about signs like "Buck Fush," "Who would Jesus Bomb?," "Visualize Impeachment," "Regime Change Starts at Home," etc.?
The group is nothing about peace, and everything about coarsening the political discussion. That they are allowed to march while others like the Minutemen are not is a disgrace.
Those are some awesome pictures! Great job Minutemen & ladies!
Interesting concept of civilization. They hope to foster a "love of country and community" that excludes the worship of God (too offensive) and the enforcement of law (too partisan).
...or a modified Lincoln Continental! I think a big box of marbles will do!
Even President Bush is against the Minutemen. He called them vigilantes. I am sure this is why the parade cannot allow them to be in the parade. I think the President should take back those words he said.

Yes, Bush should, but he won't...since he is PRO-ILLEGALS for POLITICAL reasons. He will not change since he is too invested in supporting these criminals in our country. There are no patriotic statesmen left in Washington..just slimey politicians. So what you see here should be no surprise.
Jim Inhofe said this about the MM when he introduced Bill 2117 in December. This is the only repub we have in the senate worth keeping.

Enforce Act ends Anchor Babies/enforces Border- S. 2117
" Border Neighborhood Watch Program will have the same effect in reducing illegal border crossings as the Neighborhood Watch Program has had in reducing crime.
I also believe that the BRAVE Force will provide significant assistance to the Minutemen, who are sacrificing their time and energy as they work to preserve our liberties and enforce our laws.
Through the creation of the National Border Neighborhood Watch Program, NBNW, retired law enforcement officials called the Border Regiment Assisting in Valuable Enforcement, BRAVE, Force agents, will come and work alongside Border Patrol agents. Civilian volunteers, much like the now well-known Minutemen, will be able to report immigration violations to assigned BRAVE Force agents."
