I'm liking Harper better and better.

Now if he'll lift the ban on satellite TV, which many Canadians evade anyway.

Sounds like a very prudent move. A leader must protect his country first. He seems to be getting it.

Harper sounds like he's starting off on the right foot. Even the Mexican border guards carry guns.

Something leaders here in the USA don't seem to get -- at least, not where our southern border is concerned. Not even President Bush.

This makes me wonder if this isn't the real reason the founding fathers wrote the second amendment. Did they assume the government at some time in the future would fail and the people would have to step in?

Good move. The Canadian border guards put up a roadblock then fled when they heard the perps were headed their way. Our guys and gals did the dirty work.

A bit silly to deploy unarmed border security this day and age, eh?

"Stop, or I'll wave my private parts at your Auntie", and whatnot.
