If we never get one, fine by me. Unless Thatcher is reincarnated, I don't want one.

"The question is whether the United States will continue to lag behind..."
Lag behind? If gender is your only consideration perhaps.
To: pissant
Only if she's black and named Rice. Or Janice Rogers Brown.
It would really sock it to the democripples if the first woman and first black president were Republican.

Aahah - we've had one in Canada and she lasted less than six months (and it's taken 12 years to get the Conservatives back).
Nonetheless, I wholeheartedly welcome another Iron Maggie as your head or ours.

Meanwhile, here in the United States, Geena Davis, the United States' first female president on television, won a Golden Globe for her role as President McKenzie Allen on ABC's "Commander in Chief." And the ratings for this show, which started out strong, are now going down the toilet.

Lag behind is funny. We have always been a nation run by men, except Jimmy Carter. Then we had a wimp. The NAGS and feminism have become irrelevant. The nation cannot tolerate a democrat male, much less a dem female. And there will almost certainly always be a more qualified GOP male candidate than a female one.

Yes we're lagging behind China. Remember Madam Mao and the Gang of Four?

I don't want Rice. She's a fine Sec. of state though.

Do you think there's some hidden agenda behind this article in the Seattle Poltical Indecency. Let's see...King County politics..backing a NY Senator's 2008 bid for POTUS..
