Down on the border
By Salena Zito TRIBUNE-REVIEW Sunday, January 29, 2006
If you ever happen to tag along with the Border Patrol after dark along the El Paso County, Texas, line and Mexico, be proficient in acronyms. And bring your night-vision paraphernalia. Because once you are at the border, you are briefed about OTMs, MS-13s and SIAs. And you're warned that no lights are allowed since it sort of draws unwanted attention from the federales, armed men with anger issues.

Interesting read. (Should make your blood run cold.) Thanks.
Same here in Arizona
Good story. Obviously this reporter doesn't fear the political correctness crowd. In AZ we have "humanitarian" do-gooders who aid and abet this activity.
thanks that reporter is me :)

I have a brother who lives in the comfy 'Burgh suburbs (outside Allegheny County, natch) who couldn't be more clueless about the threat posed to his/our way of life by illegal immigration.
"Illegals?" he says. "Yeah, I think one brought me a golf cart on the course the other day. So what?"
PING
SAME BS, DIFFERENT DAY.
Wonder when Bush will do something?
After a city disappears?
Hey, good for you! And many thanks from Texas.
Glad you are on FR.
Keep up the good work! BTW, do you get lots of angry e-mails when you publish such an article?
Thanks so much, I spent a week in Texas and loved it, so great to be in a red state as well!
He is doing something. He's building the "new America". Bush never intended to do anything about closing the border - it would hinder the arrival of the "new Americans".
We are now one of the largest Spanish-speaking nations in the world. We're a major source of Latin music, journalism and culture. Just go to Miami, or San Antonio, Los Angeles, Chicago or West New York, New Jersey ... and close your eyes and listen. You could just as easily be in Santo Domingo or Santiago, or San Miguel de Allende. For years our nation has debated this change -- some have praised it and others have resented it. By nominating me, my party has made a choice to welcome the new America. George Bush from a campaign speech in Miami, August 2000. |
I get a lot of email and calls-the majority of those are supportive, but I have a way of irking the D's so they are quite good at coalascing to form attacks-like with 'colorful' emails...
Thanks for posting that again. Everyone who believes that George W. Bush will do anything to solve the illegal immigrant problem needs to read that...daily. Print it out and glue it to your bathroom mirror and read it again and again.

Thank you so much for telling it like it is, instead of how people want it to be. Please do more articles to get the truth out, it is very important that people away from the border understand what is really going on here.
I don't doubt that. I've read the same thing here about Dims calling their representatives and cussing them out about their support for Alito.
Democratic Underground has a section called "Hate Mailbag". From reading it, I suspect most of the hate mail is fake, concocted by DUmmies themselves, because they sound just like their standard 'colorful' posts. Cheers.
thanks Tammy please feel free to post, email or distribute the link to the column http://www.pittsburghlive.com/x/tribune-review/opinion/columnists/zito/s_417921.html
Bump to print out later. THANK you!!!
That's it! Fort Pitt! Ping!
Please FReepmail me if you want on or off this South Texas/Mexico ping list.
