Jimmy Carter: At Least Hamas Isn't Corrupt [ Barf Alert ]

When asked by the media for his thoughts on the Hamas triumph in the Palestinian parliamentary elections, former President Jimmy Carter replied that while they have a terrorist past, at least they're not corrupt.
One of the complaints by many in the Middle East was the corruption within the Palestinian Authority and Yasser Arafat's Fatah Party.
Arafat himself squirreled away millions of dollars from aid packages that were intended to help the Palestinian people.
However, Carter's comment appears to dismiss the years of death and destruction perpetrated by Hamas on the Jewish State.
One of the first statements made by the leaders of Hamas rebuffed demands to disarm and change its charter. Part of Hamas' charter is the total destruction of Israel and the establishment of an Islamic nation.
Israelis are in shock over this development and they wonder how they will be able to negotiate with these newly empowered Islamic Jihadists in their midst.
It's one thing to fight terrorists living in the shadows, but quite another thing to deal with them when the are legally elected officials in a sovereign nation that borders the Israeli State.
Tehran sent its congratulations to the Palestinians, the Hamas movement, all Palestinians combatants, and the great Islamic [jihad].

You negotiate by the give-and-take process.
Give up something to get back something in return.

Yep. The irony is that Batista was equally corrupt, probably less corrupt, than the likes of Tom Pendergast or Frank Hague, the latter of which used to send out gangs of thugs to beat up supporters of his opponents, something Batista never did (although Batista did shoot Communists!).
And what political party did Pendergast and Hague belong to?

We should make him relevant and expose the nut in our campaign commercials. Use Carter, Kerry, Clinton, Dean, Boxer, Durbin with their anti-american comments and support for terrorists and just put it out there for the americans to see. We should just do some IN YOUR FACE ads . I'm so tired of the press covering up for these idiots, I really think our candidates should simply run against the Democratic Party!EXCELLENT idea! Can you post a few links to such comments those degenerates have made, encourage all to pitch in and find some more, and maybe we can compile enough to forward to the RNC?

although Batista did shoot Communists!THAT's the liberal-collectivist definition of "corrupt!" It's OKAY WITH THEM if Communists, socialists or welfarists steal everything in sight (and virtually enslave you and your whole family), ESPECIALLY the business and nest egg you worked all your life to build -- that's "EGALITARIAN VIRTUE" -- but DON'T YOU DARE stand in their way, let alone KILL them!!! That's the worst sin of all in the eyes of dyed-in-the-wool collectivists like Jimmah.

This grinning idiot can be a true patriot when he starts inspecting his crops from the ground up. Only time will tell which traitor (Bubba or Peanut Man) did the most to harm America.

Jimmy, we could say much the same of you, but it wouldn't be any more of a compliment to say it about you than to say it about Hamas. Bingo! And I wonder if that is his answer when anyone criticises his presidency. You go with your strengths...

You neglected to mention that the interest rates on home loans soared to 22%+ and there seemed to be no end in sight to the rate hikes.
My husband worked as an investigator for a real estate attorney during much of Carter's regime. One of his jobs was to serve foreclosure papers. At times he would nearly cry (the attorney too!) when he had to serve papers on families who had bought homes with "adjustable interest rate" mortgages. And there were just so many of them! It was pitiful.
I will never forget how hopeless everyone felt. It was a terrible, demoralizing time for the whole country. I can't believe this ignorant oaf would represent himself as an "expert" on anything.

What exactly is Jimmy Carter's legacy to USA and the World?
What have his contributions meant and led to?
Should we continue to remember him as 'President' James Earl Carter Jr., the 39th President of the United States of America?
