Corruption is apparently the worst sin to the Left. "Batista was corrupt!" "The South Vietnamese government was corrupt!" And when the alternative is Castro and the North Vietnamese? Well, at least they aren't corrupt! They don't need to be corrupt, since they own everything including their citizens. Now, it's come down to just about open support of Hamas. Carter is a disgusting disgrace.

Yep. The irony is that Batista was equally corrupt, probably less corrupt, than the likes of Tom Pendergast or Frank Hague, the latter of which used to send out gangs of thugs to beat up supporters of his opponents, something Batista never did (although Batista did shoot Communists!).

And what political party did Pendergast and Hague belong to?

They are too corrupt, it's just that nobody is allowed to say it.

"Well, at least they aren't corrupt! They don't need to be corrupt, since they own everything including their citizens."

Except guess what -- they probably ARE corrupt. Nobody can tell you whether or not Hamas is corrupt because 1)they make their reputation blowing up people and things, so no one has looked to see if they are corrupt, and 2) they have never had access to the real money before.

One has to be truly gullible to believe that Hamas, if given the reins of power, is going to be any less corrupt than any other middle eastern gangsterocracy. Jimmy Carter is, of course, that gullible.
