SITREP-Situation Report

Basically a way of keeping folks informed. In my Army days it was usually an update to a previous report to inform troops or command of changes.I read some, I wrote some.

In the context of my post to you, I perhaps should have been more precise.FR is not a military organization, so I was applying the term based on the nature of the thread. You can see by the posts on this thread, that not all have been informed.

In a strict military sense, however, your use of the term is accurate. That is no doubt the intention of the author. For his purpose, he has succeeded.

I've got to go with smoothsailing on this one. A SITREP was basically a report of current activity, but it can definitely apply to Litkeeper's version as well. As for smoothsailing's SITREP, I'd say it's just fine.
