Two men and two teens were charged in connection with a weeklong vandalism spree during which cinder blocks were thrown into at least 114 vehicles in Palm Bay and Melbourne.
Madison Warren and David Raulerson, both 18, and two teenage boys were charged with felony criminal mischief in connection with the damage, said Yvonne Martinez, Palm Bay police spokeswoman. Local6.com is not identifying the boys because they're 17 and 16 years old.
Martinez said some of the suspects told officers that they did it because they were bored.
"Believe it or not they were picked up yesterday and some confessed," Florida Today online editor Dave Larimer said. "Here is what they said: They were bored."
"They're looking at some serious charges, and the restitution that will go with it," Martinez said. "Their little game is turning out to be not such a fun game, and they're going to find that out the hard way."
Several of the Palm Bay incidents were in the Lockmar Acres area, in the northwestern part of Palm Bay.
Police didn't elaborate about how they found the suspects Monday, only to say that an informer helped them Sunday, Martinez said.
Police charged them with felony criminal mischief because of the conspiracy involved in damaging so many vehicles, Martinez said.
The men were to be taken to the Brevard County jail in Sharpes. Meanwhile, the boys were headed to the Brevard Juvenile Detention Center.

Introduce those boys to the "joys of busting rocks."
Cinder-block throwing clearly is a major cause of zits......
Poor kids don't have anything to do. My heart bleeds for them.
Bored? How about getting out there and getting a job or going to school or reading a book or doing something constructive for society???????????? Bored? I'd give them work to do so they wouldn't be bored anymore. They could have killed someone. This is inexcuseable!
I'm sure they'll get 'bored' in jail, too. Just in a whole new way.
Too bad their parents weren't around ... oh, I forgot their both working to give these "bored kids" a better life.
Bored teens in Florida? Every teen in Florida is bored. The place s-cks if you are a teenager. Not an excuse and hope these b-tches in training get at least 10 years.
This particular story didn't explain it well, they were empty, parked cars, not moving vehicles. Criminal to be sure, but no, they couldn't have killed anyone.
The pimple brigade?LOLOLOLOLOL
Great minds think alike. That would end their boredom.

Police said the teens confessed and explained how they stole cinderblocks from construction sites, broke them up and for three nights drove down the streets hurling the cinderblocks from a Saturn four-door. They also admitted to hitting at least five police cars.
Well, thank God they were parked cars. Thanks for that information. I wonder though what goes through their minds. How rewarding it would be to read or help someone else read or do something nice for someone or help an elderly person or any number of positive things. Sad they can only think of destruction. The need to be punished for this though because the cars tho parked still belonged to people who work and pay their car payments monthly and deserve to have their property protected from such juveniles.
Can someone please tell me what is happening to our nations youth. Middleschoolers beating up a UPS driver, those vermin who beat up bums, now this...For goodness sake, where are the authority figures?
I guess when you're too damn ugly to get a date, you resort to stupid acts to amuse yourself.
Bored is not an excuse. Misdirected, unsupervised, unattended, ignored or dismissed is more like it. Where are the parents of these kids? Parenting has become a lost skill. These kids should be put to work to pay off the damages and the parents should be required to attend parenting classes...... if there's anyone left to conduct the course.
Gotta admit, they do look bored.
