One killed in massive pile-up
One person is confirmed dead and police are chasing a man believed to have caused a massive vehicle pile-up with a stolen truck at the height of drive-time traffic on Lake Otis Boulevard between Northern Lights and Debarr Road. Dozens of police, some with dogs, have fanned out in Airport Heights, pursuing a lone man, described as wearing a red cap and dark jacket. The incident has closed streets and snarled traffic over a wide swath of the city, and resulted in lockdowns at several schools.

Hey, Ma, don't wander outside for awhile, ok?
And another fatality at Seward and Portage Highway this morning as well.
I come to work on Northern Lights and pass the Lake Otis intersection every single day, and go home the same way. Fortunately, I left a little early and didn't get caught up in the closures. Prayers for the killed driver.
We must be close. I work at 36th and Seward.
I work at Northern Lights/Benson and New Seward. Traffic was VERY slow, pretty much all the way from before East High, but never stopped and it was before 8. I hope they put the driver away for a long time. And never leave your car running without locking it....even in your own driveway.
