If we and the Europeans cut off aid, and Israel refuses to remit to the Palestinians the taxes they collect, the Palestinians will be put through hell for voting the wrong way. The Arabs will call us hypocrites who believe in elections only if they produce the results we demand.
Of course we believe in the election. That's why we are cutting the funding.
But, I suspect Bush will back down due to pressure from the State Department who will make these same arguments as Buchanan about it hurting the Palestinians, causing us to lose infoluence etc...

The Palestinians should reap what they sow, they've been catered to for too long. Any attack should be met with extreme force and the PA should be wiped off the map. Pat should be retired to the mental institution where he can be given proper care. He's obviously delusional.
