"Denmark is the only Scandinavian nation "standing hard" against the Islamics."I wish I could agree and in a sense I do. But tonight I saw Denmark's PM on TV trying to explain to a Muslim news reporter his government's position and it was one of the most disgusting things I've ever seen. It was obvious the Muslim was gloating in his pleasure at the discomfort of the PM.

I just sent a note to Mr. Ghoudary. I politely told him that I find his attempts to influence me a rude intrusion.

The following verse is from the Koran, (the Islamic Bible) Koran (9:11) - For it is written that a son of Arabia would awaken a fearsome Eagle. The wrath of the Eagle would be felt throughout the lands of Allah and lo, while some of the people trembled in despair still more rejoiced; for the wrath of the Eagle cleansed the lands of Allah; and there was peace.
Sorry but that's a total line of BS.
Sura 9:11
But if they repent and are firm in devotion and pay the zakat, then they are your borthers in faith.

This may not be a popular stance, but I will not support one drop of American blood spilled to bail Europe out again.
If they want to appease, drop on their knees, then let them. If they do not expell Islam from the greater part of their culture, then let the Muslims have them.
If they cannot see the abstract possibility that is happening even now, then they will get what they deserve. So get on your knees Europe, five times a day, but don't call us to save you unless you are willing to lose your silly socialism and fight for your culture, language and history.

Brit Hume on Special Report tonight showed the cartoons of Mohammed. Did any FReepers make screen shots of these cartoons, or know where they are on the web?

Well -- that's pretty much the gist of what I was yelling at the TV screen in the restaurant. But I phrased it more along the lines of a suggestion that CNN go have carnal knowledge with itself, and that the rag-heads can matriculate to the seventh level of Dante's Inferno -- without passing go, and without collecting 72 virgins.
I got several dirty looks -- and several more nods of approval and amens.

Predictably, about half of DU stands for freedom of speech, the others blame Christians and the west. I simply can't fathom how they're willing to stand up for islam the way they do. It's frightening.

Our Islamic friends really need to get a grip. They need to be reminded what makes things provocative and funny is sometimes offensive. Life goes by a lot better if they develop a sense of humor.
There is a good Broadway tune that might loosen them up, if they listen. So with respect to Mr. Stephen Sondheim....
Something familiar, something peculiar
Something for everyone: a comedy tonight
Something appealing, something appalling
Something for everyone: a comedy tonight
Nothing with kings, nothing with crowns
Bring on the lovers, liars and clowns
Old situations, new complications
Nothing portentous or polite
Tragedy tomorrow, comedy tonight
Something convulsive, something repulsive
Something for everyone: a comedy tonight
Something aesthetic, something frenetic
Something for everyone: a comedy tonight
Nothing with gods, nothing with fate
Weighty affairs will just have to wait
Nothing that's formal, nothing that's normal
No recitations to recite
Open up the curtain, comedy Tonight
Something familiar, something peculiar
Something for everybody: comedy tonight
Something that's gaudy, something that's bawdy
Something for everybawdy: comedy tonight
Nothing that's grim, nothing that's Greek
She plays Medea later this week
Stunning surprises, cunning disguises
Hundreds of actors out of sight
Pantaloons and tunics, courtesans and eunuchs
Funerals and chases, baritones and basses
Panderers, philanderers, cupidity, timidity
Mistakes, fakes, rhymes, crimes
Tumblers, grumblers, bumblers, fumblers
No royal curse, no Trojan horse
And a happy ending, of course
Goodness and badness, manifest madness
This time it all turns out all right
Tragedy tomorrow, comedy tonight

I saw it...the commentator said that they pixilated the picture because Al Jezeera did and CNN did not want to offend anyone's religion. Just wait until the next pot shot that they take at Jesus or Christians. Thousands of irate emails and phone calls should remind them of their reverence for religious people.
