Texas Sheriff says Mexican army has threatened his deputies and their families
KVIA TV 7 El Paso (ABC) ^ | 020106 | CAWats

Posted on 02/02/2006 5:21:38 PM PST by CAWats

In the past few days, Hudspeth County Sheriff's Department deputies and their families have received threats to stay off the Rio Grande. Sheriff Arvin West told ABC-7 Thursday morning, before departing for Houston that the Mexican military is behind all of this.

Sheriff West said, "There is no doubt in my mind -- from the first time going back to a couple of years ago and every time in between --- it's the Mexican military. In a nutshell, everybody's been trying to tell everybody that they were here...they've been here ...[and] they come here quite often, regularly."

Yes, OTM is our a huge concern right now, but make no mistake,,,the massive influx of poor mexican illegals is what is bankrupting our entire infastructure in this country..I don't have health insurance because the mexican illegals are bankrupting our health care system. Our children are getting a substandard education because there is too much money and attention being thrown at children of illegals and My taxes are sky high to pay for all this AND the expensive illegal immigrants that are clogging our prisons!

This is not to mention that my politicians are afraid to do anything that I want them to do because there is a large hispanic outcry everytime they try to do what the "legal citizens" of this country want!

The millions of illegal "mexican" immigrants are just as big a threat to this country as OTM's any day of the week!

My aren't we the quick one to throw out insults.

And what did you expect, a medal for advocating or sloughing off what's taking place?

We have had an open border with Mexico for like a couple hundred years.

At no other time in our nation's history have we had between three and five million foreign nationals crossing the border into the United States.  It's a pitty you didn't know that.

Sort of like a zoning ordinance, if you don't enforce it from the begining kind of hard to tell someone 10 years later he can't do what he's been doing.

Just because you steal billons from another nation for a period of time, you can't claim that nation isn't being fair when it charges you with theft and throws your ass in jail or deports you.

Most of our problems are not with mexican but OTM's from central and south america.

Most of our problems are with Mexicans you nincompoop.  We are being occupied by the citizens of a foreign nation.  If you can multiply, please tell us what five times twenty is?  That's how many people from Mexico will be here by 2026.

This figure ignores the births that will take place.  It also ignores the family members that will be allowed to come here legally as the 100 million you advocate coming here become legit.

Already the immigration problem has corrupted the highest offices in our nation.  The President and Congress, most states and most cities are allowing our laws to be bastardized in order to accomate criminal invaders.

Your only reaction is to say, "Here, here..., we need more corruption."

If the Mexican Army broke into your house, would you pop a cap on them or speak Spanish to them? It is a very simple question...

Right. Puss Perry won't even look at this as a 12th man situation, even though it's a five alarm situation.

Perry said today he's spending $10 million dollars to tighten the Texas border..did I hear what he said incorrectly?

I've seen this mindset often here. Oh illegal immigration just isn't a problem in Texas. LOL, the ostrich state.

Of course I would pop a cap on anyone that broke into my house and I believe I have been misunderstood on this thread. Lets either get serious about it or forget about it and let it get worse. Any foriegner that has a little bit of cash can get into this country a lot easier than walking through the desert.

Okay, you are not going to say what you would do if the Mexican Army broke into your house...

That in itself tells a lot about what you think!

Me thinks you need to move over to DU...

They'd love your points there!

Unlike many here I do not have a hatred towards the Mexican people.

Odd. I didn't see one single post that was hateful or about hate until yours.

I can not blame a man for wanting to better himself and care for his family.

No, but I can blame him when he knowingly breaks the law.

All of my Mexican friends are hard working people.

Mine too. They also all speak perfect English from the eight year old to the eighty year old.

So your point is....what?

These Mexican Federal Troops are as corrupt as any organization on the face of the earth.

Things are not getting better on the border.

I recently moved away but knew many who worked in Juarez and everyone to a person says the same thing "times are getting worse".

I don't see any peaceable solution to what is currently taking place.

The Mexican government is going to push the situation until the US government shows some balls.

I suspect that some will lose their LIVES because our congress has failed to act responsibility in protecting our borders.

I don't blame people for being upset over the liberals insisting on so much money and care for the illegals and now all that has come home to roost in a very negative way.

Evidently you have not read all my post. Now, if you realy want to shut down the border, I mean realy shut it down, then get ready for a bloody situation. The American people will not stand for it and the politicians know that, thats why they have been silent on this.

You have been misunderstood? Bud, go back and read some of the pap you've posted here. There's simply no defense of the stands you've made. No, you've been perfectly understood. If that's a problem for you, I'd suggest a little self-evaluation.

Well tell me are you ready for a war with Mexico?

There will be no war with Mexico unless we initiate, and there is no need for that. The Mexican government will never initiate hostilities with America, they are too smart for that. Our batle is with the cartels. If we build a wall, Mexico may be forced to finally drag their economy, kicking and screaming, out of the narco-republic-thugocracy they currently are and into the realm of responsible nations.

No, you are coming through loud and clear...

But I don't have any more time to waste on your artsy-fartsy ideals.

Mexico is making a stealth move to take territory and/or establish freedom of movement north of the border.

The border incursions have nothing to do with the legitimate Mexican government. They are run by the cartels, which own many public officials inMExico, lock, stock and barrel.

The press ignores shots being fired across the border into the U.S. If I didn't come here, I wouldn't even know about it. Yes, things are getting worse, a lot worse.

No, this whole thing is melting down. That's why Bush wants to make legal what has been illegal up until now. You know what, putting lipstick on a pig doesn't make it a pageant contender.

Thanks for the comments. I agree.

I probably will, but I get very few anti-illegal immigrant comments out of Texas. Perhaps that's because I don't recognize some of the people who are well grounded on this subject, as being from Texas.

I was reflecting to comments posted on other threads. There are some definate mexican hating bigots on this forum. If we are gonna shut the border down than by all means, lets do it with the same enthusiasm we have about the WOT. But that will never happen as long as we have the current WOD.
