You an I agree on that. What drives me nuts though, is our president is well aware of this and STILL acts like an 8 year old girl with a three year old's resolve on this topic. Frankly, it causes me to be very intemperate with my remarks.
His inaction is disturbing. Despite the pressure from his base to act decisively, he doesn't. What could be the cause? Though we control both houses of Congress, their support for effective action is iffy at best. Perhaps use Executive power to enact the first measures for a minimum 90 day period. Force Congress to overturn it after 90 days; they would have to explain why, despite the probable dramatic evidence that would surface during the period of closure.
