However, President Bush has refused every invitation from the NAACP to speak at their yearly conventions. If the Southern Strategy is no longer is use, why would Bush do this?

You see, President Bush holds to the radical belief that people should be judged by the content of their character rather than the color of their skin. Julian Bond and Kweisi Mfume believe that if you treat the President of the United States like a KKK Grand Wizard (as in the James Byrd ad, Bond's comparisons between Dubya and slaveowners, etc.), he should be grateful and do all you ask, and that what you should ask for is for more people to be judged by the color of their skin.
