I was furious to read this story. Picture these regular lads hanging out, get in an argument with scum bags, who run off like pansies and get knives, then come back to show what big men they are when they know the other guys probably don't have weapons.

What sorry punks!! I'm wondering if the Aussies will just take it? You know, I don't want to insult our Aussie FReepers, but it occurred to me that the tougher-than-nails image we have of Australia might just be from the Paul Hogan movies. Like when he pulls out his big knife and expertly slices open a mugger's sleeve (without cutting him) then declares "oh they're just kids having fun" as the mugger runs away.

I'm wondering if Aussies might be a lot softer than their Hogan image paints them to be. On the other hand, Rommel (the Nazi general in North Africa) was deeply impressed with Australians, as were the Turks in WWI. Oh well, I guess we're all a lot softer these days. I'd like to see a crack down on Mohammedans in Australia, though.

I think if the majority of Aussies had their say these creeps would be out. At times up to 20 gang members have set upon an isolated individual and with those odds stacked aginst you it is very hard to do much. A change of government in New South Wales will probably do wonders.

What these creeps need are a few bouncers from an Aussie cricket team.
