Do you really think that being snarky and ugly is a good way to exchange ideas?
And, yes, the Crusades were initiated by Europeans. But - they were in response to islamic incursions, and sought to retake formerly Christian areas.
As per Wikipedia: "The Crusades were a series of several military campaignsusually sanctioned by the Papacythat took place during the 11th through 13th centuries. Originally, they were Roman Catholic Holy Wars to recapture Jerusalem and the Holy Land from the Muslims, but some were directed against other Europeans, such as the Fourth Crusade against Constantinople, the Albigensian Crusade against the Cathars of southern France and the Northern Crusades."
Also, just a tip - might be a good idea to use sources other Wikipedia, which can be notoriously biased and inaccurate.

I apologize for being snide with you but I have been hit on all flanks on this one by blindly hateful and ignorant people on his issue. I am so stiking tired of mis-informed and bigoted people judging all Muslim people by the actions of some. I am willing to bet the majority of them have never even set foot into a middle east country and ever talked with a single Muslim in their country, not ours. I spent over a year living amongst and protecting people that, though Muslims, were better "Christians" (from a morality and values standpoint) than one heck of a lot of people in this country that actually call themselves Christians. They have allowed bigotry, fear and mis-information to cloud their opinions.
