The contention of the protesters is simple: the prophet Muhammad had been portrayed as a terrorist.

The reaction,

"There are no apologies... those responsible have to be killed...Europe, your 9-11 will come", "Annihilate those who insult Islam...Freedom of speech, go to hell...Strike, strike, strike, bin Laden

Proving the cartoonist's point.

When it comes to criticism of radical Islam, the new standard is: "Publish and Perish."

Radical Islam is an insane murder cult; moderate Islam is its Trojan Horse in the West.

"The level of systematic hatred that the replication of these caricatures evidences is, we fear, now part of an inevitable prologue to systematic violence against Muslims in Europe."

Hogwash.

Do I dare ask to see the cartoon?

...no-one guessed it would spark global protests, the burning of effigies and the unlikely cry of "Death to Denmark".

No one knew that Islamofascists consider infidels lower than dirt? No one knew that infidels don't have rights any more than an animal? No one knew that, in their Islamist minds, offending infidels deserve death without trial? Eight years after the Satanic Verses got Salman Rushdie a death sentence?

Mr. MacMillan's projected ignorance doesn't reinforce his stature.

It's a fair report of the whole story, but I notice that the Scotsman doesn't offer to publish any cartoons.

Exactly why is a picture of Mohammed with a bomb in his turban insulting, whereas numerous pictures of Muslims with bombs, bandoliers, and AK-47s is heroic?

Muhammed didn't hesitate to use his sword to kill people and behead them. If he had had bombs I'm sure he would have used them, as his followers did when they became available.

The Qran and the other early writings clearly portray Muhammed as a killer, oath-breaker, enslaver, rapist, and pedophile. Not my idea of the "perfect" man.

"Strike, strike, strike, bin Laden," the frenzied group chanted. "We are ready to die in defence of you our beloved prophet."

Well, I for one am OK with giving the crowd what they want... If they're ready to die, then I say that the Danish military should oblige them.

Attempts to depict him in illustration are strictly forbidden.

The above statement is what this trouloe is all about.

Below just 2 of several no images or pictures admonitions.

Volume 7, Book 72, Number 833: Narrated Abu Talha : The Prophet said, "Angels do not enter a house in which there is a dog or there are pictures."

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Volume 7, Book 72, Number 834: Narrated Muslim:

We were with Masruq at the house of Yasar bin Numair. Masruq saw pictures on his terrace and said, "I heard 'Abdullah saying that he heard the Prophet saying, "The people who will receive the severest punishment from Allah will be the picture makers.'"

How many of those 1 billion people who are said to be Muslim, would choose Christianity of over Islam if they had the choice? It's not like one has any choice if you live in a Muslim country.

Christianity has been really good to women. How many women who are Muslim now, would choose to be so if they had a choice. How many men would choose Islam over Christianity if they had a choice?

If people had the freedom to choose between Christianity or Islam, Islam would in time just wade away.

That's what the Nation of Islam fears more than anything - freedom. And that is what this fight is about.

Illiterate, ignorant, backward, and inbred genetically defective losers. 99.9% of whom have never accomplished anything useful or positive and never will. The are self-humiliating creatures. AND THEY KNOW IT! They desperately need to blame infidels and Jews for their self made mess. Their latest overreactive calls for killing whole populations over some cartoons may (I hope) be the turning point. Enough is enough.

a clash between Western free speech and Islamic taboos - a struggle the latter's protagonists now appear to be winning.

Yep. Free speech had already been devalued in Europe in the name of political correctness, this is just an extension of that. The fact that the establishment is importing Muslims in the first place is an indication of how they regard Western values.
