I did a search on Freep and could not find the reference to this poll.
Also, the names given on the paper's message board are not FR nicks.
I think though that the "online poll" has lost it's meaning. ANY interest group can influence ANY online poll, and without considerable detective work the poll runners will not realize it, except in the case where a small paper has a readership of 500 and 2000 people flood the poll.
I also think that some poll results are merely made up.
We should start copying and pasting our links to polls so they can't see where we came from.
Heck, my High School and the first College I attended ISSUED 'guns' to every student, and we would be in HUGE trouble if we didn't have them either securely in our hands or locked in our personal lockers.
And the only serious injuries we ever had occured on the athletic fields and one accidental stabbing by two good friends horseplaying with a pocket knife.
'Course the fact that they were Military Acadamies might have had something to do with it. ;-)
'Tain't the presence of guns on campuses that causes problems.... It is the lack of discipline.
It's also true that 47.2% of all statistics are made up on the spot.
Also, the names given on the paper's message board are not FR nicks.
Another "fake but accurate" report from the media!
Your ibnformation is accurate! There arte no Frepers by those scren names, and no stories related to this.
Jim, to me this is libel. Your opinion?
