If Sphincter keeps this up he should be removes as head of the Judiciary committee. The Constitution is not a suicide pact.

Just when he does something good (Alito), he turns into a dork again.

Arlen should be asked:
Name a single piece of legislation you've introduced that has improved American safety ? Name just one, sir !

If anyone knows what strained and unrealistic is, it is the Magic Bullet Man.

Specter's one positive moment came a few weeks ago when he slapped down fat Teddy. Anyone who does that deserves applause. Too bad he's still an idiot.
The congress overreached its authority with FISA. Now they want to claim that the President is overreaching by ignoring their unconstitutional statute.
Watch for squirrel-cheeks to begin citing Scottish law.

Maybe Arlen should ask how many pieces of legislation he has authored or signed that violate the Constitution.

This guy is clueless.
Roberts and Alito will both vote down Roe.
Specter thinks otherwise.
His stupid chart that he didn't make must have smashed him in the face.
Nothing would please me more than to see Roe overturned from three Bush nominees ushered to the court by a Judiciary Committee run by the Pro-Choice obsessive Arlen 'Marbles in My Jowels' Specter.

From the man that brought you the "Magic Bullet Theory!"

The spectre of Spector having any power in the Republican party is nauseating.

Sphincter just loves being in the center of things. 'Pristine Bullet Boy' is an unmitigated publicity hound who will compromise anything or anyone to be a mover and shaker.
He's been a sleazoid for over 40 years in government.

Shouldn't have had the job in the first place. Pennsylvania voters have a choice: Retirement or eviction? Of course they may like him, I don't know. He didn't represent Pennsylvania when I lived there through 1971.

"think that contention is very strained and unrealistic. The authorization for use of force never mentions electronic surveillance," Specter said."
Senator Specter is almost child-like in his reactions. The Congress authorizes war, but he thinks they have to mention "electronic surveillance" by name in order for the president to take specific actions? Isn't that kind of like saying they never mentioned "Capture Sadaam Hussein" or "Set up a new Iraqi government" or "shoot that guy over there who's pointing his weapon at a soldier"?

Specter is also a moron.
He chooses Super Bowl Sunday to take his bold position.
Sorry, Captain no one is watching your leaky boat sail away.

This guy is to stupid to be a Senator, the authorization never said anything about detaining terrorists either, but the Supreme Court approved of that. Jeez these guys are unbelievable.
