Who knows? The liberals still have 5 votes to support Roe on the Court. Specter can count, and he maybe figures that he'll fight that battle when it comes.
On the other hand, with his "conservative" credentials restored by voting for Alito, now he can fight today's battle... siding with the Democrats and MSM against domestic spying.
I am sure that Bush is kicking himself for supporting this RINO, and Bush deserves this headache for his short-sighted decision to support Specter in 2004.
