Canadian security officials cite Hamas victory for rise in anti-Semitic threats Judeoscope
In a community security alert released today, B’nai Brith Canada revealed that threats were made in recent days against Jewish community institutions.
The alert specifically mentioned bomb threats targeting elementary Jewish schools. Security experts with whom B’nai Brith maintains contact said the electoral victory of Palestinian terrorist organization Hamas could be a reason for the sudden rise of anti-Jewish threats.
The security alert also expressed dismay at the announcement yesterday that the convicted fire-bomber of the United Talmud Torah Jewish Day School in Montreal, Sleiman El-Merhebi, will be released after serving only two-thirds of his sentence this coming May.
According to reports, says B’nai Brith, the parole office El-Merhebi has been assigned to, is located in a building which also hosts a number of Jewish organizations, including B’nai Brith.
B’nai Brith urged members of the Jewish community to be particularly vigilant.

Well, Jewish schools are where the Jewish children are, so it makes sense.
There was a Canadian citizen arrested in Gaza while being trained by Hamas, who have numerous cells in the US, to carry out attacks on Jewish targets in the US.
