Iran’s president strikes defiant tone on nukes-(Iran to West dream on)

Tehran, Iran, Feb. 05 – Iran’s hard-line President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad sounded a defiant tone on Sunday, a day after his country’s controversial nuclear program was reported to the United Nations Security Council, vowing that the Islamic Republic would stand in the face of its “enemies” to obtain nuclear capabilities.

The 35 states on the board of governors of the International Atomic Energy Agency voted overwhelmingly for a resolution on Saturday to report Iran to the Security Council.

“The era in which the large powers would make the decisions for our nation from their glass castle is over”, Ahmadinejad said in Tehran, the state-run news agency ISNA reported.

“With its [1979 Islamic] revolution our nation brushed aside the humiliators and no longer allowed the Arrogance (United States) and imperialism to make the decisions for them. This is the greatest capital and the biggest strike at the [U.S.]”, he said.

Ahmadinejad criticised the West for putting pressure on Iran over its nuclear program.

“The enemies of the revolution have tried many times over the past 27 years so ensure that the Iranian nation was unable to realise the true goals of the revolution. But today, when they realised that they could not reach their goals, they started to put pressure. They cannot believe that our nation is able to obtain the highest level of science and education”.

“Our enemies cannot do a damn thing. We do not need them at all. It is them who need the Iranian nation”, Ahmadinejad said, adding that the IAEA board resolution would not have any effect on his policies.

Addressing the IAEA, he said, “You can issue as many resolutions as you like and dream on. But you cannot prevent the Iranian nation’s progress”.

"But you cannot prevent the Iranian nation’s progress"

Says who? Systematic eradication of Tehran is only a red button away.

Memo to Tehran: You cannot and will not destroy Israel. God will protect his children, which is something that Satan simply cannot do for Iran.

Sounds like the next step is for a tactical nuclear response ASAP to insure these thugs do not give the technology or the weapons to the rest of the Arab world.

If Natanz is not a smoldering ruin by end of March, we are risking everything for the sake of doomed-to-fail diplomacy.

The next sound he hears is BOOM! Just a sandy creator, does this qualify for stopping their progress. Amen.

No argument from me. But it will never happen unless / until Iran goes nuclear first.

God will protect his children,

Where was he during the Holocaust? Was that some kind of "test"? Gods and Devils play no role in the affairs of men. All the more reason for us and Israel to look out for ourselves.

The mentality of these ragheads is beyond comprehension. I guess he's not been paying attention to his neighboring countries over the last 15 years.

We have more time then that...if necessary. Iran is very likely 18-24 months away from having a nuclear weapon. At best.

“Our enemies cannot do a damn thing. We do not need them at all. It is them who need the Iranian nation”, Ahmadinejad said, adding that the IAEA board resolution would not have any effect on his policies.

Trying to reason with these raving idiots was a regrettable use of precious time in my opinion, but I have to say that if the Iranians keep up these type of suicidally unbalanced proclamations then just about every country in the world will be clamoring to join a coalition of the very willing.

I think that the international consensus on this one may even be wider than that for attacking Iraq after its invasion of Kuwait, a consensus that I didn't anticipate back when it was becoming obvious that this Iranian situation was coming to a head.

I don't know if I agree with your assertion that God plays no role in the affairs of men, but it is an extreme act of arrogance to demand and expect Him to do such. As for the Holocaust, well, the nation of Israel would not have existed were it not for that. Is that God's plan? I don't know and do not speak on such matters. I simply follow and lead my own life, wonder, and continue to hope and strive to do what is right.

How could you suggest such a thing! The world needs the Iranian nation! *gasp* Ahmadinejad said so.

Ahmadinejad, never ever argue with a nation with 27,000 fully armed and OPERATIONAL nuclear weapons.

You mean the ones on either side of him that already have hundreds of thousands of US troops, equipment, ordnance and who knows what else? (Nukes maybe?)

Those countries?

This guy and his psycho-mullah cronies are finished.
