When the associated revenues are in the billions it may be a lot of things, but it's hardly just "a game."

No, it is no longer a game. It is a referee sideshow, and no longer any fun to watch.

I would like to simply sit back and watch the game, legitimate infractions should be called, but not the bogus interference we saw yesterday. It takes all the enjoyment out of the game.
