I thought there were some real bad calls in the game.
But then , the writer has a point, there are bad calls in every game. It don't make it fair- it makes it .....life.
I agree. The chop-block call on Hasslebeck was a joke. The Jackson TD called back was extremely questionable. Seatle also had three or four very picky holding calls that helped kill drives. I thought Ben might have cracked the goal line during his leap. That call was too close and I would not have faulted the official for calling it either way. He landed short, but perhaps broke the plane earlier.

Me, too, and I didn't have a dog in that fight.
I know it's an online poll and ergo questionable, but ESPN.com's Sports Nation has 61% of respondents saying the bad calls affected the outcome of the game. Every state but Pennsylvania and West Virginia are in the "bad call" camp. So whether or not it is true the perception is out there and very strong.
There are some real bad calls in EVERY game.
Good teams win despite the bad calls.
Yesterday, both teams were pretty mediocre...
But Pittsburgh scored on a 75-yard-run and a razzle-dazzle gadget pass while, despite outstanding protection from their offensive line, Hasslebeck and his receivers performed feebly.
