A dollar does not produce anything. And a share of a buggywhip manufacturer does, well, it used to, provide dividends. But they're all out of business now, having seen their profits vanish in the face of the automobile. Gold, however, is still here.

Dollar dividends also don't produce anything.
I heard that gold was going to $10Million dollars an ounce. Art Bell said so.

I bought 6oz of gold in the form of Double Eagles and Sovereigns in the middle of last year at under $440 an oz. Today the gold is selling at over $570 an oz.
So, that gold produced $780 in a year, what 21%.
My stock only went up 4% and my IRA 4.4%
