I suppose there are Freepers in here that would want her arrested for such a dastardly deed, right?

Back in the 50's we all sat on our dad's lap and steered the Buick. Of course roads weren't as crowded back then but please MYOB!!!

I'm with you on this one - only my experiences were from the 70s. I used to climb all over the back seat, including sleeping in the back seat window or on the floor board - no air bags, no laws requiring seat belts be worn. Yet, miraculously, the Republic survived.

Are you kidding? I would never drive with my baby on my lap. At least here in Texas (world's worst drivers), that's asking for a tragedy. I doubt LA drivers are much more alert. Especially with infants on their laps.

You didn't have the same quantity of drivers on the road, increasing chances of accidents.

Also no airbags back then; if she tags that front bumper, the bag cover on the steering wheel is going to blast off and do some damage to the infant, and an infants skull is stil not completely formed for months, and it is much softer than an adults.

I drove on my dads lap in his car at an ealry age but on private property.

She is stupid, period.

I've been on my dad's lap in cars, trucks, boats, cranes, bulldozers, loaders, tractors, combines, etc, etc.

He quit letting me do it when I hit 30 or so, but I lived through it all, nonetheless.

Yeah, but if there's an accident she'll sue the other driver and Lincoln for making an unsafe vehicle.

Back in the 50's ... and 60's ... and 70's ...

It was not until the 80's that freedoms began running, not walking, down the slippery slope.

C'mon.....this isn't a matter of libertarian freedom being denied.

Just because we did things a certain way 30, 40 years ago, doesn't make it safe!---I personally know of a (young girl at the time) who went through the windshield and will carry the scars forever because a parents didn't care of she stood up while riding in a moving car)

And even though today's cars have airbags....

..just one slight fender bender....the air bag goes off.... and the baby Britney was so gaga to have.... is crushed!

Surely you can see that!

If someone was videotaped or photographed robbing a bank....would we give them a pass?

No....and neither should she get a pass for endangering her baby.
