AG Gonzales said that this (in fact) does not exist. He said it during the hearings yesterday, and Brit Hume played the statement last night on Fox.

How many phone calls have you had that lasted 72 hours? Our security depends on action and action NOW...NOT 72 HOURS LATER. I'm glad they listen in on any phone calls. If they want to listen to mine, go ahead. I have nothing to hide. If you're not doing anything wrong why should you be concerned? Security should TRUMP the privacy. If you aren't safe, you have no privacy.
You don't understand the NSA program - so you keep beating the FISA bush .. the programs are not related - and if the NSA program was so horrible and so UNLAWFUL why hasn't some congress person submitted legislation TO STOP FUNDING IT ..??

Go back to DU. That is not the law. The AG has to certify that they have probable cause before they can start and listening and they they have to file the paperwork and get it approved within 72 hours.
In DU lingo, that means they already have to know what their listening for and who their listening to, and the FISA Court will agree that these people are bad.
