"Thousands Remember Coretta Scott King" ---------- I was watching Fox News and they showed Jimmy Carter speaking at Coretta Scott King's funeral, and sure enough, he started talking about illegal wire-tapping and other examples of government run amok. I am appalled that he would use this opportunity to bash the President, but not really surprised. :-(

Mr. and Mrs. Bush forced to sit through it.

Nobody forced the President, his parents, and the First Lady to sit through the memorial service. They went to the memorial out of their own free will. They, or their advisers, should have realized that the Democrats would have turned the service into another political rally, as happened when Paul Wellstone died.

Both the President and his father are country club Republicans who play by Marquis of Queensbury rules that the enemy scorns except when they try to shame conservatives who stand up to their bullying tactics. I hope the next GOP presidential candidate will not be another old school gentleman, but a tough minded street fighter. President Bush and his advisers have the right instincts with regard to the enemy abroad. He needs to apply those instincts to the enemy within.

I can hardly wait for [Bubba's] turn in the box and not on top of it.

That will be Wellstone Redux transcending into orgy.

Ever read any of Jimmy's "poetry"?

(It's what you would expect.)

(No. It's worse.)

Can someone here tell us why W sat there and listened to this bunk from the low lifes who tried to turn this from a funeral to a dem hate W rally. He should have gotten up politely excusing himself and paid his respects to the lady and left. Maybe noting that he thought he was at a funeral.

Isn't it better for the troops to show their CIC can withstand enemy fire? :)

jimmuh carter is the FATHER of radical islam. khomenie rose to power because carter turned his back on the Shah of Iran. He is responsible for every bomb, every attack, every severed head, and he will be known as the catalyst that caused the looming nuclear war. What a legacy!!!!!

This is ALL that America needs to know about this man, to shun him and his demon offspring FOREVER!

Jimmy has to live down his place in history as the worst modern American president. Everytime Jimmy lashes out like this I'm reminded of Reagan's famous line in the debates: "There you go again!"

Yep, that sums it up.

"It's hatred. It's real. Be prepared for the lengths to which it will drive them, which are every bit as far as a vendetta or a blood feud."

We need to keep in mind that the political left - the far left - has a recent history, on several continents, of mass murder, prison camps, shutting down churches and church schools, shooting priests, raping nuns, massive denial of civil rights, confiscation of private property, rigid press censorship, etc., and that the American left are the spiritual heirs of that tradition. It seems to me possible, just possible, that 15 or 20 years from now we could see stuff like that happen here.

"Carter is on a perpetual guilt trip. Let's not forget he was Lieutenant Governor to the segregationist Lester Maddox"

You've got this turned around. Maddox was Carter's Lt. Governor. Carter himself was never Lt. Governor.

I think LBJ was the worst 20th century president. Carter, a close second. Measuring the men, I can't get past what LBEgo did to our military and our nation in Viet Nam, and expansion of the welfare state.

"I hope the next GOP presidential candidate will not be another old school gentleman, but a tough minded street fighter."

Of course, the Dems think BUSH is a mean, nasty street fighter. Buchanan was in reality sort of like the Dems' caricature of Bush, and Buchanan was exiled from Republican podiums years ago, after party officials believed the press nonsense that the Buckaroo had shocked Americans with his speech at the - was it 1992? - convention.

Sorry, Fred, what does discussion of the Nazi's have to do this? I think you blew a gasket or something. :-) You're confusing personal hatred with zealous partisanship. The latter involves strong emotions and hatred but it is different than personal hatred in that it is based on one's association with a group rather than individual hatred. Dems and socialists think in terms of groups rather than indiviuduals.
