Mike Pence will be kicking off day three, shortly. Most of the YAF students were still wide awake at midnight, so we can probably expect very low turnout from the younger attendees this morning.

The H.S. juniors and seniors and the college kids have spent a lot of time in some very intense workshops over the past couple days. These kids look so professional, in their suits, and they are so committed to their various pet projects, like social security.

Mike Pence opened day three with a powerful speech asserting that the Republican party is no longer adrift, but rather is willfully off course. Following his speech he was awarded the NRA's Charleton Heston award for courage under fire. Pence was also named as Human Events' Man of the Year, appearing on the cover of this week's issue.

The energy panel this morning introduced the concept of "Climate Planning", which, like "smart growth" or "central planning" is one more weapon of control by the left!

Couldn't have happened to a more deserving person!

Your dedication each and every week shows when those soldiers come to the corner and seek YOU out for hugs and encouragement which you lavish on them generously.

Full-page ad in the New York Times a few days ago by evangelicals who are concerned about global warming. It's Biblical to take care of the Earth, you know!

This is more evidence for my theory that the number one problem in this country is the legal/judicial/court system.

If we could fix that, we could fix corruption in politics and business. We could drastically reduce taxes. We could drastically reduce crime. And we could far more effectively fight the war on terror.

Just name your pet problem, and it probably can be traced back to the deterioration of the legal system. Currently, "justice" goes to the person with the deepest pockets.

In "Mohammed: Messenger of God", Anthony Quinn played his uncle but apparently the "prophet" is never depicted on camera.

Heck of an idol these folks have made for themselves.

Mike Pence gave his usual stump speech, and frankly it was pretty boring, and uninspiring. He said all the right things, but it was old.

Gov. Perry gave a good speech. George Allen gave the most presidential speech. The best speech came from a young man who attends Oregon State.

BUT

Newt Gingrich stole the show. Hands down.

You are right. Tancredo's speech was motivating.
