A Columbus, Ohio, prosecutor says former Ohio State star tailback Maurice Clarett has been indicted on charges of robbing two people behind a bar and carrying a concealed weapon.

Clarett is accused of flashing a gun and demanding property from a man and a woman early Jan. 1.

Police said he got into a sport utility vehicle with two men after he was identified by the bar owner, who happened to come out into the alley.

Police say no one was injured, and only a cell phone was taken. Clarett led Ohio State to the national championship in 2002.

Once a perp - always a perp? (Makes ya wonder what they're teaching at Ohio State - eh?)

I was relieved when he didn't make the Broncos. I couldn't believe it when they wasted a draft pick on him.

Clarrett led was the beneficiary of a horrific interference call that gave Ohio State the national championship in 2002.

That's more like it.

What is it with running backs with the first name of Maurice? Wasn't there another Maurice that bounced around from Oklahoma to a second tier college and then failed in the NFL?

This nitwit had all of the physical blessings the Lord could bestow upon a man and the brains of an ass.

He could have wrapped up a glorious career at Ohio State this past January be leading the Buckeyes over Southern Cal in the Rose Bowl for his second national title. A career ended with a Heisman Trophy (possibly his second), his number retired and enshrined on the ring of honor at Ohio Stadium and assured of a top-five pick in the coming April NFL draft.

Instead, he allowed his "handlers" (including his money-grubbing Mom and the race pimp Jim Brown) to fill his thick skull with lame ideas about how he was bigger than the team, the school and thegame and he conducted himself accordingly.

What a waste and an embarassment to the Ohio State Buckeyes. Good riddance to bad trash. Enjoy prison punk.

On the local drive home a week or two ago, the talk show mentioned that Clorett was offered a $500,000 deal to promote sporting equipment (Nike shoes?), and they came back and said "Not enough!"

The offer was withdrawn! The talk show host said, "Who is handling this guy?? What poor handlers he has!!"

As a Canes fan, I can't wait to hear about him getting his "just desserts" in prison!

I got to watch him play a few times at the 'Shoe. He was amazing.

As stupid as Clarett is, he is still a little too young to be this stupid entirely on his own. He's had help: his mother, his absent dad, Jim Brown and a bunch of crooked and greedy attorneys wanting to milk his talent for all they could get. Where are they now?

I don't have much sympathy for him, but I do understand and feel sad for him and his wasted life. He didn't even complete his free bachelors degree from OSU.

When he gets back on the street he might be lucky getting hired as a bouncer at some sleazy nightclub.

Wrong on both counts.

The receiver was Chris Gamble. The defender was hanging on Gamble's jersey for at least 5 yards as they ran into the end zone. ABC's camera did not pick it up and Dan Fouts was in error stating that it was a bad call. ESPN showed footage that proved the interference as did photographs in a few print media outlets.

The officials also missed a blatant Miami interference on OSU's last drive in the 4th quarter. That would have given OSU a first down and denied Miami the opportunity for their field goal that tied the game in official time.

I can never figure out why perps use their own cars and leave the tags on for ID, or why they don't use surgical gloves to avoid prints, and a million other stupid things they do..........oh, right...I forgot. They're morons!

When he started playing, my son called him "Baby Jesus". He was so excited for this kid and just couldn't get over how talented he was for such a young kid. Now he won't even utter his name. (son takes football, especially OSU, VERY seriously!)

OK, OK, he allegedly had a bad day. What we sports fans want to know is, how is his career coming?
