Didn't NBC run an entire channel that was devoted to the Olympics last time? IIRC, I watched the opening ceremonies repeat on it, with entirely different announcers and less cuts in the action.

What's with his eyebrows? Dear God they get darker each year (probably due to the influence of his young wife). I love his voice but can no longer bear to look at his clown face.

Thanks for the article on Chandra Gunn, US Olympics hockey goalie who has epilepsy. A great example of a person with a disability who can still compete in the games.

You are GOOD! Yup, that's what I was thinking, but this thread is moving so fast that I could not keep up if I looked for it.

Thanks. It sounds like I missed a good thread, and a bad ceremony.

And, a final word from Torino:
"Love, love will keep us together;
Think of me babe whenever
Some sweet talking guy comes along singing his song --
Don't mess around, you got to be strong,
Just Stop, 'cause I really love you,
Stop, I'll be thinking of you --
Look in my heart and let love keep us together.

Na, na na nananana, na na na na, hey Jude.
Na, na na nananana, na na na na, hey Jude.
Na, na na nananana, na na na na, hey Jude.
Na, na na nananana, na na na na, hey Jude.
Na, na na nananana, na na na na, hey Jude.
"Kumbaya, my Lord, kumbaya;
Kumbaya, my Lord, kumbaya;
Kumbaya, my Lord, kumbaya;
Oh, Lord, kumbaya."
