Well, the best skater is 15 year old Mai Asada from Japan who can't compete in the Olympics because of the minimum 16 year old age limit.

Kwan didn't compete to qualify for the Olympics, but we gave her a spot anyway.

Asada, is, IMHO, the best in the world today.

It truly is a shame about ASADA....if you are so good you should be able to compete regardless of age.

When did the minimum age stipulation start? I thought Tara Lapinski was 14 when she was in the Olympics years ago. Wasn't Sarah Hughes only 15 at the Salt Lake games? What's up with that?

Asada, is, IMHO, the best in the world today.

I'll still take Sasha over Asada for the artistry alone. She really is poetry in motion. Just an all around beautiful skater.
