I don't blame Nagin for starting his day that way. He's got to fix his Jones's.

God bless Harry Anderson. He's a very, very funny man.

I saw that headline, though, and I was thinking the pistol, not the malt liquor, and my first reaction was "Why not? Why shouldn't Ray Nagin eat a Colt .45 for breakfast?"

Under the heading "if a Republican head ever said that":

If a Republican had ever said what Anderson did, he would have been accused of the worst kind of racism. Beyond the alcoholism charge, Colt 45 is a classic inner-city beverage. For years, actor Billy Dee Williams was Colt's main spokesman, and the tag line was "Colt 45 - works every time."

Thanks for your work. 45 oz. 45? Haven't seen that one! It's been decades since I had a colt 45 beer.
