R U North shore or S. shore?
What is the latest forecast?
Here in Cincinnati, they predicted 2 days ago we would have 4 inches by now... nothing but flurries and the sun was out most of the day. Hope the N.E. fairs as well.
March can be downright ferocious
What do you think about the Ohio Valley? According to weather.com, and our local news webstite, it's going to miss us.
North Bronx, NY here. Ground is just wet. Light film on car outside. As usual media hype is heavy. Thanks for the thread.
Hi tiredoflaundry , NYC , 7:15 , just very light snow
... must have warmed a degree or two , now there isn't much on parked cars like an hr ago
,,, street and sidewalks are only wet
.. [ btw , we do laundry 5X a week ,LOL]
Here is picture of my house after a snowstorm last year. I expect it to look pretty much the same by tomorrow morning.
BTW, Huntsville is a great area. I go there often. My parents have 10 acres just outside of Albertville (on Sand Mountain off Hwy 75) and I visit them once or twice a year. I'm expecting to retire there and take over the land. People are incredibly friendly in those parts and I'm looking forward to it! Only thing is, I'll miss the New England winters. Maybe I'll do the opposite of the "snow birds" and winter in New England while spending the summers in Alabama (I don't mind the heat and humidity either).
Good luck to my FReeper FRiends in the path!
Pinging a few other that might have interest..
I didn't plow my drive for that one, instead staying housebound with the dog for three days while the two of us re-enacted The Shining. By the third day, the dog was growling redrum, redrum, redrum at me!
Anyway, for New England fans of Todd Gross, he has a frequently updated web page at: www.toddgross.com
That's all 5xs??? LOL!
I have spent most of my life in the NY & NJ area.I'm only in Florida for the past 5 years! Gosh I can remember blizzards! My back to this day remembers them too! ;-)
It's Bush's fault !
Just checked the lastest radar and it is on your doorstep. Take a look outside around 8PM and I think you'll see the first flakes starting to tumble down.
I added you to ping list.
Morgantown WV - about 2.5-3 inches have fallen. An earlier dusting melted, froze and has been covered by the majority. A trip to the coffee shop was cut short even in our 4Runner as we trusted our wheels but not necessarily the wheels (and the driving) of others.
This very weekend 23 years ago was a humdinger as well for MA all the way down to NC. I remember well as I was trying to drive from Boston to Tampa.
Boston mets starting to go nuts over this storm. Now forecasting spot amounts of 20+ inches in and around the Boston area.
Weather has been innocuous here in SE Michigan. Got about an inch of fluffy snow today and that was it. Of course Winter ain't over here until the end of April.
Luck to all out East. Worst storms I ever saw were when I lived on Long Island in the late 70's and early 80's.
