The U.N. is a totally dysfunctional farce. When it wasn't perpetrating the biggest financial swindle in history (Oil-for-Food) its pedophiliacs were assaulting children in Africa. Kofi's son was caught in his illegal tax scam when he used his father's name to buy his Mercedes. As John Bolton has pointed out it's members include the worst dictators and tyrannical governments that presume to lecture democratic member states on rights they routinely violate. By the way, who's heading the current Human Rights Commission? Zimbabwe? Syria? Libya? N.Korea? I get all of these member states with humanitarian concerns mixed up.

Zarqawi was elected the new head of the UN Human Rights Commission by an overwelming vote.
France believe the election of Zarqawi will bring about a new era in human rights.

yep, and right they are. Zarqawis first act was to immediately suspend all human rights for infidels.

Yep, we ought to just release all the prisoners off the island and let them swim (with the sharks of course)!
To: jmc1969
Oh, yeah! The Iranians are calling for the destruction of Israel, they are also calling for the destruction of Denmark, and the UN wants to close down GitMo!
Yep, really got their priorities in order.

Think it would be wise for these 'U.N.ers' - aka vile Leftists - to clean the crap up in their own back yard. . .before passing judgment on ours.

I demand that the UN immediately leave their cushy New York HQ and relocate to a country more in keeping with their political leanings. Yemen, perhaps, or Zimbabwe.

A new era in human rights - WOW! How can it be doubted if France says so? The excitment is killing me! And the "overwhelming vote" must surely include some terrorist despotisms - what a consensus! Are you, too, as thrilled as I am by this tectonic shift towards the expansion of human rights? A new world order!

What about New Orleans? Mayor Nagin, Senator Landrieu, Kofi Annan, and Governor Blanco then could share their strategies for corruption, bribery, and other scandal. We could revitalize the Lower Ninth Ward with this new development--and let the United Nations maintain the levees. Let's see if they can get the school buses running for their own staffs.

A United Nations inquiry has called for the immediate closure of America's Guantanamo Bay detention centre and the prosecution of officers and politicians "up to the highest level"....Yeah? Or what?

Is this another episode of
Saturday Night Live? Another milestone of righteousness from the U.N.
Defending the rights of prisoners arbitrarily held for decades without trial, and dying by the tens of thousands.
Whatever would we do without the UN?
The Soviet Union
North Korea
China
Cuba
Viet Nam
Cambodia
All fixed by the UN?

The only Cuban jail the UN is worried about is the only one run by Americans.Amen, brother.
