It would be interesting to correlate this study to how much these people go to church. I have a felling the poor rural folks are happier because they are practicing Christians, where the rich city folks have a higher percentage of atheists or socialists who think socialism is a religion...

"Religion" and "Religious Experience" - organized and otherwise - is indeed positivly correlated with "happiness". see for example:

I was thinking the same thing. If they have a similar red state blue state like we have in the US, it wouldn't surprise me if the big city has a greater percentage of liberals who tend not to believe in much. Liberals tend to be the most miserable, selfish people on the face of the earth.

Look at the Hollywood screw-ups. They can't run out of money even if they eat it, yet most of them don't seem too happy with their life.
