So the media has a dilemma: harp on the whole "evil gun" aspect and how the VP nearly "killed" a man, or harp on the whole "evil rich white man" aspect and how he got "preferential" treatment, probably at the expense of some more
illegal alien undocumented worker.

I don't either. That is the key to this whole story, it's nothing but a bunch of overhyped hogwash, like Katrina "victims" and a whole lot of other topics. The media has gone berserk with their Bush hatred and their loss of clout with the public.
