The vice president's office just released the following statement:
"The Vice President was told when he arrived at the White House this morning that doctors had decided, based on overnight monitoring, to perform a cardiac catheterization on Mr. Whittington.
The Vice President's chief of staff passed him a note at about 12:30pm ET to inform him that Mr. Whittington's doctors would brief in Texas about 1:00pm ET on complications in Mr. Whittington's condition. The Vice President was on Capitol Hill when he received this information.
When the Vice President returned to the White House, he was able to watch part of the press conference. At about 1:30pm ET, the Vice President called Mr. Whittington and spoke to him. The Vice President wished Mr. Whittington well and asked if there was anything he needed. The Vice President said that he stood ready to assist. Mr. Whittington's spirits were good, but obviously his situation deserves the careful monitoring that his doctors are providing.
The Vice President said that his thoughts and prayers are with Mr. Whittington and his family."

The Main Stream Media has lost their collective minds. Do they have any idea how silly they look and sound? Do they know how stupid they look?
Their behavior is bizarre.
The VP isn't helping by acting as if this resulted from something other than his own lack of gun control.

Cheney is ticking me off a bit here. His actions are of a guy trying to cover his butt.

Prayer also for VP Cheney. He must feel terrible about this accident.
So far as I can see the only thing he's really in "trouble" for is not telling some people in the press what happened the way they say he should have. In that regard he is not in any trouble at all. He does not owe them any explanation. Now, if it was Cheney that was shot that would be a different matter.
My goodness folks, he accidently shot someone with some bird shot. What's the big deal?

I think this is beautiful. The press complained and complained yesterday about the timeline of events. Cheney is laying out minute by minute to these morons exactly what transpired today.
The Press is going to be apoplectic.
Yes..Prayers are said thta Mr. Whittington makes a full recovery and is out and about soon.
And Prayers for Mr. Cheney too.
Do know that Jeb has made a joke today. Not sure about Dubya!
I'd expect someone who was interested in gun rights to recognize the harm to that cause resulting from the disregard of gun safety.
