Could the VP's office had the news release Sat night instead of Sun morning? What was the real impact? Is this story more important than Iraq, Iran, Korea, cartoon rioters????

No to all of the above

The press/media is throwing a temper tantrum because they think Cheney should have called them and held a presser ... instead of going to the hospital to be with his friend

This thing happened at 5:30 PM .. he didn't go to the hospital till 6:30 pm

I'm guessing from experience at hospitals ... it takes a couple hours to run tests and for doctors to evaluate the situation

Which now puts the time line after midnight

IS the press now saying that Cheney should have dragged the press/media out of bed to report this???

The press was notified at 8am the next morning

I was having fun with this whole thing yesterday, but it's not funny anymore.

This was not handled well by the White House.

It was a stupid political blunder NOT to notify the press, it's not like they weren't going to find out sooner or later. There are people on the payroll at the White House who are supposed to make sure these kinds of political blunders do not happen.

This is not funny anymore.

This was a real blunder.
