Deaths are often investigated by a grand jury when people shoot other people in Texas, as in home invasions, and self defense situations and other things. Doesn't mean they're out to prosecute.

But again, it will count on who's prosecuting.

And of course, the NYT might be in wishful thinking mode, too...

Heck Not only would a TX Grand Jury let him off the hook, Tx is likely to pay for your legal fees

And if we have another Ronnie Earl-type DA, then we will see grand jury after grand jury convened until we get the desired results.
