I think the article, and the Russians would like us to quit with our touchy feely liberal slant and endorse their slaughter of the Muslim's in Chechnya.

Yeah right. Name another place where Russia sides against the Muslims. Not that I am siding with the Chechens, but they are siding with them because they want their land under control. Meanwhile, they are helping Iran acquire nukes.

I think the Russians have had it in several of the other fractured countries around Chechnya that have Muslim populations.

And in regards to Iran, I think they are bargaining with the West more so then the Iranians. They want to be sure to get their Iranian debts paid.

I do agree they want the Chechnyan land under control - and the politics there too. And, they'd like some of the other land they lost in the breakup of the Soviet Union.

I just don't want to call the Russians "Worse" enemies than the Islamofascists
